redneck's act of reproduction 'em, it's our championships open to other bands of the world to compete. Run by the RSPBA....( the "S" stands fer Scottish by the way )
Therefore if the bands don't qualify they aren't good enough, end of. There again they could be in the wrong grade.

My post woulda been more along the lines of this one....

Re: No this old chestnut again
This debate will never end,
The truth is, it will stay in Scotland, because the money men say so,
However, going by the judging through the grades this year, a few judges wouldn't be adverse to a wee freebie to Oz or Canada,
Iain will remember how hard the NI branch tried to get a major over here, and at last they are becoming more regular, but it took a lot of work, and a lot of prize wins by NI bands,
IMO, the whole 'Major' set up needs looked at,
Would it be too much to hope that bandsmen actually have a say in what happens?

well , the only way bandsmen will get a say is if they go along to the branch meetings and the RSPBA AGM the wee jobsworths would crap themselves if the hall was full , they then couldnae pass any underhand rulings or manipulate the system in the way they do now !!!!!
Its your association treat it like it !!!!

Good point Richard, but in sayin' that sometimes it makes not one iota a difference what's brought up there are always enough yes men to knock back any sensible suggestion.
Just as Gordy said, there are too many would get freebies outta it.....not just judges.
