1st practise with new band

I was out at the burgh of stirling last night for my 1st proper practise with them. Unfortunately the PM wasnt there so the PS got the lads together wi the pipes, I asked 1 of the other pipers if he could run over the comp sets with myself which he did gladly. After the chanter practise the PS set my chanter up properly as it was a bit flat on a couple of notes and I had a quick blow wi them whilst the PS checked the tone wi his meter!! I was plesenty surprised at how steady the needle was after such a long lay off, far fae perfect but a huge boost o confidence. Now all I have to do is some serious chanter work to catch up wi the other band members and keep geing the pipes a puff n it all should hopefully come together. I really think Ive made a good move joining the burgh a good bunch patient and they have a whole lot of experienced players in their ranks which is going to give me a good standard to aim for.
