North Berwick

Okay y'all.... where is my news about North Berwick??

Thanks to Karen () I have a video and some pictures, but no one's said anything about where anyone placed or anything. I may be on the other side of the world, but I care!!!

Steven Giles called me tonight and told me how soggy the day was, but he had a great time!! He is so crazy about all of y'all that I don't think he wants to come home. He even likes Robbie!!!

So tell me how your bands did and anything else about your day.... I wanna know it all!!!

it was WET!!!!!!!! when we played , we were 5 strong pipers down so didnt do ourselves justice, just makes us more determined for the worlds now ..
we didnt get placed in the open comp but got 2nd in the confined
some blowing issues and silly wee mistakes but one crit highlighted that and placed us 5th for piping and the other judge was very complimentary with his views, i.e. steady throughout good tempo etc and then gave us 6th ???
ah well.

Rubes n Denny beat PPPB in the open comp

It was sooooaakkkking and you were up to your ankles in mud at the entrance of the food tent....met richard, rubes and scaryguy, didn`t have much time to chat though sorry.
We played and had to leave straight away for the Edinburgh Tattoo, no beer tent dooooh.
I didn`t think we played that well but won the grade and best drums...roll on the worlds lol.
The poor guy we left behind to pick up the crit sheets ended up taking home 7 trophies on the train., Grade 3, Drums, confined and open comp, M&D and 2 others .. .hopefully see you all next week in Glasgow and lets hope it won`t be raining...

Well I cannot give you the full details of what Boghall and Bathgate won? and as Fiona cannot get onto the site at the moment, you will have to accept the rough outline from memory, I had deleted her texts with the details.

I know the Grade I band won overall, and best in drumming.
The Novices won umpteen things as did the Juveniles, I think they both got second?

Anyway it seems that they won as a band about 15 trophies which makes it a good day despite the weather.

it is all down to next week now? and now it is so close? I am gutted I will not be there, all i can do is wish each and every one of you taking part a great day, and hopefully a successful one into the bargain.
Katy and Jesse I know you will have a great time, dont let Redneck lead you too far astray though??

Oh and well done Drumlough, who broke their duck and got a second place at the Ulster Championships, and of course Robbie's band for their 2nd place? hope you all use your successs as a springboard for next week.

thanks dai, we got third. Good day out.. bloody soaking tho came hame with 2 pairs of black socks a think richard . Spent some time with karen throughout the day - hows the kids trousers haha?

anyway, bring on the worlds! Hopefully richard will stay for the whole competition....:D

i had a great day, (not). spewed ma load on the way there. HAD AN ALMIGHTY MIGRANE the whole day. got soaked down to ma very breeks (a wee bit too much information there sorry lol) and had to condem my sock to the bucket.(not the new ones bro) lol.
I had a good we while chattin and walking around with ruby and got steven a wee gift to take home to the states. took some good pics. was worth sitting in the mud and rainfor. see you all next week.
