I thought it mighta been a bit early for FMM. The pic looks like from the 20s or before. Very interesting though. I love seeing the old photos.

My father is the tenor drummer right hand rank, uncle George, right hand rank second row piper. Fred Cooper, first piper front row right hand rank.

They are to my knowlage the only ones left from the original Robert Armstrong Memorial pipe band.

, trust you, indeed Ron yer right m8. The parade photo was taken on the 12th July Orange Order parade in the old Sandy Row area. Need to get the photo aff the oul han' again 'n get a date, my father was/is very meticulous regarding things like this he dates all his photo's.

Just phoned him the noo, seems it was the early 1950's. Notice the old cobbled stone streets, Belfast was still like this until quite recently. They have all since been removed ( sadly ) 'n guess what, they are now being put back in certain areas of Belfast's City center. Nice da see adds character, unless yer cabbaged, it's wet 'n ya end up on yer arse....
