New Somme mural
Just leaving now to pipe at the unveiling of a new Somme memorial mural in East Belfast.
Will get some pic's and post them tomorrow, there might be some on the go, so a wont be home da put them up later....
Seen a wee peak preview of the blue print, and the artwork is something else, just hope the mural does it justice.

Re: New Somme mural
These pictures do not do the artisry justice, the detail and graphics have to be seen to really appreciate the attention to detail the artist has incorporated into this mural of Ulster's histroy.
The following scenes show various stages regarding the formation of the U.V.F as a private army formed to oppose the Home Rule bill set up in Ireland to their enlistment to Volunteer as a fighing force for King and country on the battle fields of France in 1916.
The 36th Ulster Division fought bravely and won 9 V.C's ( Victoria crosses ) the highest medal awarded for bravery.
The Cosy Somme Association raises a lot of money to help towards the Ulster Tower memorial at the Somme battle site, every penny they make goes directly to the Ulster Tower.
Tonight it was a great honour to play at the unvieling of this fantastic mural in memory of all the fallen Ulster men who gave the ultimate sacrifice at the bloody fields around the Somme on the 1st of July morn' 1916~~~WE WILL REMEMBER THEM~~~F.G.A.U

Re: New Somme mural
The young guy had it done from start to finish in 2 weeks. Some feat eh?.
He done it all from a wee sketch straight outa his head, no real blueprint as such. Seen his sketches, but that surpassed them m8.
