Can anyone shed any light on the Asian love for Pipes?

India and Pakistan, through Nepal and the Ghurkas,

What is the attraction, I can understand the Aussies and Yanks, with so many Brits colonising their countries, is it the same with Asians,?

And then theres the Danish, they have a band in Copenhagen fully kitted out in Gordon HIghlanders kit, by a friend of mine and Rons no less
