Re: Dumbarton
Good overall summaries guys, looks like both independent accounts sums up the day then.
Shotts get one over their rival Scottish brethren yet again.
@John, just goes to show Shotts lack on enthusiasm once the result was called out eh?.........maybe they thought they'd won it?.

Re: Dumbarton
Hi Guys,
Got home last about half 2 this morning,
We were very disappointed, not in the results, but that we blew it big time,
Outside, the band was booming, I think only 2 chanters were touched all day, tempos good, really going well.
Went inside, 2 pipers missed the start, I think in part due to the longwalk round to the line, we were instructed to take pipes down as soon as we hit the grass and walk round with them down.
We had a few mistakes, and a few blowing issues, and the tempos in the march and reel were a wee bit quick.
Whether is was nerves, tiredness, concentration issues, or a combination of things I don't know. BUt everyone was very down as we didn't give a good account of ourselves.
Didnt hear much, but heard Shotts tuning up, they were poor pipingwise, but with great ensemble.
Heard great reports about Inverary, grade 1 next year for them it seems if they are true.
cheers
