Pipe Band Registration...RSPBA

My band hasn`t competed since 2002, thanks Mr Blair, we haven`t paid the subs for this year and the previous one. The question is this...as my band hasn`t been a subscribing member of the RSPBA for two years does that mean if i want to play for another band do i have to un-register from 1RTR before joining the other band??? I think since the 1RTR hasn`t competed since 2002 and not paid its subs for two years am I not officially still registered with 1RTR as they are not a subscribed band in the RSPBA...can`t explain the question better arghhhhhhhh.......thick squaddie

Your membership will have lapsed Ian and also the RSPBA lost everyones records i think about 3 years ago and so you should be ale to register with the other band no problems.

The RSPBA only follow it if someone complains and i dont think anyone complains or even knows who is registered with who so you should be fine

Or you could phone the RSPBA and ask who your registered with !!!

Iain, I think you might have mis-heard me. I said that my band could do with a few pipers and maybe the odd drummer and.....you will of course be very welcome. Only thing is....the invitation didn't really extend to the mid-section....

I just hope that PowerBoozer007 hasn't heard the rumour yet.....otherwise your Officer Commanding will have been informed yesterday....

Stirrer just does not seem to be enough? Ron? put the S*** in front and it helps though

Taking the whole band to play with a local gr4 band...experience for the young lads before hitting it big next year...1RTR hasn`t competed since 2002..gulf war nearly destroyed us..we were down to 2 pipers and 2 drummers...built back up to 14 pipers and 11 dmrs now but its getting them all together in one place for the comps...thanks to the wonderful way the army is today..so we are going down to one of the bands i teach to play with them ...so we don`t miss another season and give the young lads some comp experience...would love to travel back to scotland or NI to play but its no feesable this now with the new kid and all...Claire would fecking kill me lol
